Rick Tabish is now President of a company building a $1.9 billion crypto mining center in North Dakota. If you remember the case Rick Tabish befriended Ted Binion who was the son Benny Binion and the brother Jack. Ted was the blacksheep of the family getting involved with heroin and other drugs. Ted was the casino manager of the Horseshoe and Jack was the President. Ted used to party all the time involving himself with drugs and strippers. He eventually hooked up with Sandra Murphy who was a stripper at Cheetahs. Ted lost his casino license not only because of his involvement with drugs but doing business with a member of the Chicago outfit Herbie Blitzstein. Ted used a vault in bottom of the Horseshoe to store his silver collection worth between $7-14 million. After he was kicked out of the Horseshoe he had Rick Tabish built an underground vault on land he owned in Parhump, Nevada. In September of 1998 Ted was found dead from a drug overdose. Rick Tabish had hooked up with Sandra Murphy and three days after Ted died Rick and several other men were caught breaking into Ted's vault in Parhump. Police suspected the murder was staged. They arrested both Tabish and Murphy and both were convicted of the murder of Ted Binion. They were sentenced to 25 years and 22 years respectively. After serving three years the case reached the Nevada Supreme Court on appeal the murder charged was overturned however Tabish remained in jail on the silver theft. He was eventually released from prison on parole in 2010. After his release somehow he made money in oil and gas deals and got involved in Crypto and now is President of company building a nearly $2 billion mining center. The case is way too complicated to write about the details. There had to have been 2-3 TV shows about it. The fact that the Governor of North Dakota is involving himself with Rick Tabish is an utter disgrace. Why not do a business deal with OJ Simpson.
